U-17 boys' team of Vivek High School, Mohali enters final of BSMBT 2023
On the penultimate day of the ongoing inter-school basketball tourney - the 9th Edition of Sardar Bhagwant Singh Memorial Basketball Trophy (BSMBT) 2023, many matches were played. The (U-17) boys' team of Vivek High School, Mohali has entered the final , defeating Saupin’s School, Chandigarh, 42-34, in a semifinal match played at Sports Complex, Sector 42, Chandigarh here on Thursday. Jairaj from Vivek High School, Mohali played a key role in the success of his team by scoring 17 points and was the top scorer of the match. While competing in the same category, Learning Paths School, Mohali defeated Vivek High School, Chandigarh, 45-20. With 20 points Gurkanwar from the winning team was the top scorer for his team.

Meanwhile, for the 3rd place in the boys' (U-17) category, Vivek High School, Chandigarh defeated Saupin’s School, Chandigarh, 44-33 and clinched the 3rd spot.
In a close match in boys' (U-14) category, Saupin’s School, Chandigarh defeated its opponent St. Joseph School Chandigarh 42-38 and qualified for the final. Meanwhile, for the 3rd position, Learning Paths School, Mohali registered a win over St. Joseph's School, Chandigarh, 27-11.
Competing in the girls' (U-14) category, Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh qualified for the final defeating Learning Paths, Mohali by a huge margin 34-15.
Meanwhile, in U-17 girls' Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh won the first place in the U-17 age category defeating Vivek High School, Chandigarh 25-21. In another match Vivek High School, Mohali secured the 3rd place in the (U-17) girls category defeating Saupin’s School, Chandigarh, 15-13.
In the (U-12) girls' category, Vivek High School, Chandigarh made it to the final defeating Learning Paths School, Mohali, 18-5. On the other side, Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh qualified for the final by registering a strong win over Vivek High School, Mohali, 20-4.
In U 17 Girls While competing in the same category for the 3rd place, Vivek High School, Mohali defeated Saupin’s School, Chandigarh by a very close margin 15-13.
Competing in the boys (U-14) category Vivek High School, Mohali entered the final by registering a strong win over Learning Paths School, Mohali, 33-11.
In the boys (U-12) category final Learning Paths School, Mohali defeated Vivek High School, Mohali, 23-10. Yadavindra Public School, Mohali secured 3rd place defeating Strawberry Fields High School, Chandigarh, 15-6.
Tomorrow the following final matches are scheduled - Vivek High school, Chandigarh will play against Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh in U-12 girls’. Guru Nanak Public School , Chandigarh will face Sacred Heart School, Chandigarh in girls' U-14, Vivek High School, Mohali will play against Learning Paths School, Mohali in U-17 boys’ and Vivek High School, Mohali will play against Saupin’s School, Chandigarh for the U-14 boys' title. After the finals a prize distribution ceremony shal be held at the Sec 42 Sports Complex.
