Ludhiana, March 30, 2013: A meeting of the office-bearers of United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA), Ludhiana held here under the presidentship of Gurmeet Singh Kular, to discuss the day to day problems being faced by the members.

The gathering held detailed discussion on the issue of property tax being levied in the near future. It was felt that the tax procedure was most cumbersome for the peoples to know.

After detailed discussion it was decided  that the government should be requested to make this procedure simple which should be easy to understand for calculation.

It was also felt that property tax should be of minimum amount, so that people should not feel it as a burden.

The discussion was also held on power tariff which is about to be increased by the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. The proposed hike was strongly resented. In this respect a letter has also been sent to the Chairman PSPCL, K.D Chaudhary for reviewing the proposed increased to save the industry which is already reeling under recession, said Kular.

Among others, Inderjit Singh Navyug, Senior Vice President, Harjit Singh Sondh, Vice President, Pardeep Wadhawan, Secretary, Baljit Singh Lotey, Joint Secretary, Ajit Kumar, Propaganda Secretary and  Achhru Ram Gupta, Finance Secretary were among those present.
