UCPMA speaks to SBI chairman

Ludhiana, March 16, 2013: Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers Association (UCPMA) has an opportunity to meet Pratip Chaudhari, Chairman, State Bank of India  who was here on official tour on Saturday.

During the discussion, Kular pointed out the difficulties being faced by the members to get benefit from the bank schemes .

“The Chairman was very kind enough to explain the various aspects of the schemes”, said Kular, adding the SBI chairman specially pointed out that seminars should be conducted for the awareness of SBI policies and schemes such as CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises).

Kular also apprised the SBI chairman that the rate of interest for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise units  should be cheaper so that industry could flourish after availing this facility from the bank. The chairman assured to look into this matter sympathetically, said Kular. 

Besides, Kular also requested the chairman that a meeting with the members be held by the bank authorities to interact in detail about the difficulties being faced by them. He pointed out that this would not facilitate only to the bank authorities to know the problems but also prove beneficial to the members to know about the bankers’ facilities.
