Chandigarh, April 13, 2019: UIAMS, Panjab University, Chandigarh is organising a One Week Faculty Development Programme on 'Econometrics for Management Research' from 15th April 2019 to 21st April 2019.
The broader objectives of the FDP are:
To enhance functional expertise of personnel.
To provide research stimulus to academicians.
To bring clarity to various concepts of econometrics used for management research.
To exchange views and share knowledge so as to build a road map for overall development.
The focus of the programme will be on helping the participants to use various tools of Econometric for teaching and training. It is an attempt to enhance the potential for conducting meaningful research.
Some of topics to be discussed in the programme are:
Regression Models: Bivariate, Multivariate,
Diagnostic testing: Autocorrelation, Heteroskedasticity and Multicollinearity
Dummy Variable Model
Logit and Probit Regression Analysis
Efficiency Analysis
Event Study Analysis
Panel Data Analysis
Time Series Analysis
Unit Root Identification
Lag selection Criterion
Granger causality
Co-integration Analysis
Theoretical as well as practical exposure would be given by the eminent researchers from within and outside the Chandigarh. More than 25 Faculty Members & Researchers are participating in the programme. The detailed brochure has been attached for your kind perusal.
The inaugural of the programme will be at UIAMS, Conference Hall, Sector- 25, Panjab University, Chandigarh, 10:00-11:00 am followed by high tea.
