UIDAI Dy DG reviews Aadhar Updation
Citizens appealed to upload their documents in their respective Aadhaar Cards Details
Ludhiana, December 31, 2022: A review meeting on Aadhaar progress was held under the chairpersonship of Deputy Director General, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) Regional Office Chandigarh Bhawna Garg in presence of Deputy Commissioner Jaspreet Singh.
The DDG reviewed the status of updation of documents in Aadhaar by the residents, who have not updated their Aadhaar in last over 8 years, 0-5 Age group child enrolment and Mandatory Bio-metric updates done (MBU) for children on attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years. Garg urged that the Aadhaar holders, who were issued Aadhaar more than 8-10 years back to update their Proof Of Identification (POI) and Proof Of Address (POA) documents. She said that the Updation could be done on-line as well as at Aadhaar centers.
In the meeting, to further strengthen the ecosystem, the Aadhaar authentication and Aadhaar offline verification including use of QR code for Aadhaar verification as well as increasing use of Aadhaar were discussed.
DC Jaspreet Singh also appealed to the residents to keep their mobile number and documents updated in Aadhaar for availing various government facilities. He said that government had launched Aadhaar nearly 12 years ago.
Many citizens have changed their address in these years and have updated their Aadhaar Cars but some had not done.
Citizens can also upload their documents online on the MyAadhaar portal or can submit their documents at Aadhaar enrolment centres in their respective areas.
