Chandigarh, April 18, 2024: UIET Panjab University's Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) organized an exhilarating Ideathon event symbolizing the university's commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship among its students.
The event, held under the expert guidance ofProf. Sanjeev Puri, Director, along with Prof. Naveen Aggarwal, Incharge PU Incubation Centre and Prof. MamtaJuneja, served as a catalyst for students to explore their entrepreneurial potential and propose groundbreaking solutions to contemporary challenges.
Organized into multiple themes such as Agro Tech, Emerging Technologies, Health Tech, Smart Campus, and Sustainable Development, the Ideathon provided a platform for students to present their solutions for the pressing issues with innovative strategies. Students embraced the opportunity to tackle real-world problems, demonstrating their creativity and problem-solving prowess.
All the participants were motivated by Chief Guest Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director RDC Panjab University ,Guest of Honor Sh. N.K. Mohapatra, CEO, Indo-Euro Synchronization and Prof. Y. Pal Verma, Registrar, Panjab University. All the judges provide valuable feedback to improve the quality of the proposals
Prof. Sanjeev Puri lauded the students' passion and ingenuity, emphasizing the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in driving societal change. Prof Naveen Aggarwal assured all the participants for continuous support from Panjab University to take their ideas to next level.
The winners of the Ideathon event are as follows:
1st Prize: Ananay Aggarwal, AyushiMishra for Agro Tech “Drone -based precise farming”
2nd Prize: Kirti for Health Tech “Prosta Can Detect”
3rd Prize: Gaurav Rauthan for Sustainable Development “Cit-Peels Naturals”
Director's Special Prize: Aditya,Gurshaan for Smart Campus“UIETBlockchain Powered Learning”
