Chandigarh, January 31, 2025: Prof. Shankar Sehgal, Coordinator of the Mechanical Engineering Department at UIET, Panjab University, Chandigarh, today delivered an insightful Expert Talk on "Advanced Machine Design for Minimized Vibration & Noise" during the Webinar on" Advances in Machine Design, Automation, and Quality Control," organized by QuesT Group of Institutions.
During his session, Prof. Sehgal emphasised the importance of utilizing structural dynamics aspects to improve mechanical design and minimize vibration and noise effects. He highlighted how the key difference between a luxury bus and an ordinary bus lies in their design approach. While an ordinary bus is designed primarily for safe operation, a luxury bus incorporates additional elements to ensure comfort, vibration-free, andnoise-free operation.
