UIFT, PU conducts workshop for Nabha Power Limited

Chandigarh, May 18, 2017: University Institute of Fashion Technology & Vocational Studies, Punjab University held a 4 day workshop on “Fashion–Globalization & Modernization”. The workshop was conducted targeting 34 Instructors & students of
Vocational training centers being run by Nabha Power Limited at Rajpura. The workshop focused on capacity building. This workshop gave exposure to the participants about the new fashion trends, techniques to make their existing skills more creative and demand oriented.” Participants were given certificates by Fevicryl.

The workshop was initiated by Dr Prabhdip Brar & Dr Prabha Vig from UIFT & VD and DLLL, PU and Mr. Amar Pal Singh Head CSR of Nabha Power. Nabha Power Limited (NPL) a wholly owned subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Limited operates a 1400MW Thermal Power plant at Rajpura, distt. Patiala. NPL operates a comprehensive CSR programme for socio-economic development in 49 villages. NPL operates 12 Vocational training centres imparting Skill training to 400 girls every year.
