UIFT& VD, Panjab University, Chandigarh today hosted a poster presentation of its 4th semester M.Sc. students on the department's premises.
Chandigarh, May 5, 2023: UIFT& VD, Panjab University, Chandigarh today hosted a poster presentation of its 4th semester M.Sc. students on the department's premises. This was the outcome of each student's research during the master's programme. Students displayed their research work in the form of products and posters, and each work was presented by the respective student in front of the external jury: Dr. Anju Goel, Chairperson, Department of Statistics, and Dr. Namita Gupta, Associate Professor, Centre for Human rights & Duties, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The studies focused on the following topics:Attitude and perception of online shoppers towards artificial intelligence driven fashion advertisements, Attitude of People Towards Counterfeit Jerseys and Shoes of Famous Sportswear Brands,Perception of Youth towards Entrepreneurship through DIY Products etc. Many students focused their work on developing products like Product packaging design with respect to impulse buying behaviour in consumers, Research on various printing techniques and developing a range of T-Shirts, Applique work – A study on exploring and utilizing traditional craft’s application, Designing and Developing Canvas Footwear Using Doodle Art Techniques etc.
Jury members appreciated the breadth of study areas. During the event, a brochure titled "Research Dimensions" of the current M.Sc. final year was released, which contained a compilation of their research work. Faculty and students from several disciplines came to see the presentation and exhibition.
Four awards were conferred to recognise the students' efforts and the quality of their ideas. Niharika received the first prize in the Award for excellence in theoretical concept research, while Rahul received the second prize. Harmanpreet Kaur received the first prize in the category of Excellence in Product Concept Research, while Nidhi and Rohit received the second prize in the same category.
