UILS students win national negotiation competition at Christ University, Bangaluru

Chandigarh, February 15, 2018: Seven students from the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University were selected by the ADR & CCL Board, to represent the department in the 3rd SLCU National ADR Competition being organised by Christ University, Bengaluru. It was a three day event consisting of three competitions - Negotiation, Client Counseling and Mediation.
Second year students, Arushi Dubey and Shivain Arora participated in the Negotiation Competition were declared winners of the same.
Also Surya Mittal, a student of fourth year, participated in the mediation competition
and was declared as the runners up mediator in the same. He is also a member of the UILS ADR & CCL Board.
This was all done under the able guidance of Dr.Shruti Bedi, who is also the faculty head and pioneer of the UILS ADR & CCL Board. Teams from all across India participated in the competition including various NLUs like NALSAR Hyderabad, RMNLU Lucknow, NUJS Kolkata, GLC Mumbai, O.P. Jindal University Sonipat, School Of Excellence, Chennai and many more.
The finals of the competition were adjudged by judges from the Karnataka High Court and other distinguished luminaries from legal background.
