UIPS holds international webinar under alumnus homecoming series

Chandigarh: The University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Panjab University, Chandigarh, under the aegis of Panjab University Pharmaceutical Society (PUPS),  initiated the ‘Homecoming Series’ in November 2017 for  alumni under which the Institute periodically invite the alumni to revisit their alma mater to refresh old bonds, foster new relationships, and above all, share their professional journeys with the faculty and students. 
Under the series, the PUPS organized an interactive talk by Dr Ashana Puri, Assistant Professor, Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee, USA on 'Pursuing Higher Education Abroad: A Personal Perspective' today, i.e. Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from 10.00 to 11:30 am. She shared her own journey and provided a roadmap with all key elements to undertake higher education abroad.
Vice Chancellor, Professor Raj Kumar, inaugurated the event as the Chief Guest. He encouraged the students to remain positive, optimistic and must remember that this tough time will pass and a new phase with fresh opportunities will soon come. He urged the faculty and students of UIPS to steer efforts to develop drugs for CORONA family viruses. 
Professor Vivek Ranjan Sinha, Dean Research, also addressed the participants. 
More than 100 participants from all over the world including Faculty from Panjab University and other institutions, M. Pharm. Research Scholars and B. Pharm. Students attended the webinar.
The presentation followed by a rigorous half an hour question-answer session from faculty and students put forth by Professor Ranju Bansal, Dean, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. 
The webinar ended with a thanks note from Professor Kanwaljit Chopra, Chairperson, UIPS.
 

BRIEF 
Chandigarh: This is for the information of the candidates in particular and public in general that the Panjab University has extended the last date of submission of information on the website to generate the bank Challan for PU-CET (P.G.)-2020 till 26th June 2020 instead of 20th May 2020. The last date of submission of fee in any SBI Branch or through net banking has also been extended upto 30th June 2020. The date of the entrance test for the PU-CET (P.G.) -2020 will be notified later on. Candidates can visit the website https://cetpg.puchd.ac.in for more information.
