Ujjwal- Pre School for underprivileged children launched in Bangalore

Bengaluru: Ujjwal- a preschool for the underprivileged children for the age group of 2 to 5 was launched on Thursday, March 5 at the hands of Mr. L.A Ravi Subramanya, MLA Basavanagudi, stage 1.  These classes will be held at Touchstone-A Pre School in JP Nagar.

Ujjwal is a joint initiative of NGO REWA (Raise Empower Women Around) and Touchstone-A Pre School to help the economically challenged families and give a standard pre-school foundation which will prepare the children from these families for their admission in standard 1’st in mainstream school.

Childhood is the best stage when anyone can learn anything and can create his or her own mark in life.

Every person has different physiological behavior depending on the environment in which they grew.

Therefore, it is often seen that children belonging to economically well off families and blessed with a healthy surrounding, grew up as responsible and educated individuals. Mainly, it is because of the privileges and support they get from their parents.

On the contrary, when we look at the children who grow in poverty. Their parents work hard to make their end meet, are unable to provide their children with an education which is the foundation of anyone’s life. If we don't give the proper education to the children than sooner or later they might be victims of their fate and end up their lives being mobsters, drug addicts, end up being slaves, etc..

Abhishek Saran, Founder, REWA said, “Children from the underprivileged community are often deprived of basic education which can help in providing a good foundation. With Ujjwal, our aim is to provide these children with a good foundation at these preparatory school under the guidance of well-trained pre-school trainers.”

Shikha Mohan, Touchstone- A pre-school who is also an educator and contributor to the preschools for more than 15 years feels that it is important for children to have a good foundation. She said, “Pre-school helps in providing children with a strong foundation and help in evolving them into a confidant personality. With Ujjwal, we aim to brighten the lives of these children who are deprived of it. Our well-trained teachers and staff will be teaching them by infusing learning, love, and fun altogether.”
