Under its community outreach programme, DCM Group starts second batch of computer training to prisoners in Central Jail
With an aim of making the jail inmates self- reliant by giving them information about the computer and IT, the DCM Group of Schools started the second batch of computer literacy course in Ferozepur Central Jail.
Ferozepur, July 28, 2023: With an aim of making the jail inmates self- reliant by giving them information about the computer and IT, the DCM Group of Schools started the second batch of computer literacy course in Ferozepur Central Jail.
Under the Prisoner Empowerment Campaign of the project “Andhere Se Ujale ke Aur” (Part II), experienced teachers of DCM Group of Schools provided the information regarding the data entry, excel sheets, basic computer knowledge to the prisoners so that after being released from jail, they could be able to work skillfully and can get employment at a good place.
On this occasion Manjinder Singh, Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority (PSLSA) attended the programme as the chief guest. He was accompanied by District Sessions Judge Virindra Agarwal, District Legal Services Authority Secretary Ekta Uppal, DCM Group of Schools CEO Dr. Anirudh Gupta, Jail Superintendent Satnam Singh and others were present.
It is pertinent to mention here that DCM Group of Schools had setup a computer training center in collaboration with the Jail Administration and DLSA in the Jail premises on March 3, which was inaugurated by Justice Harsimran Singh Sethi from Punjab-Haryana High Court.
On this occasion, the certificates were distributed to the jail inmates who completed their course in the first batch.

Dr. Anirudh Gupta, CEO DCM Group on this occasion said that in today's era, it is very important for every person to have computer knowledge. He said that the DCM Group has tried to provide the basic IT Information so that they could improve their skills. “The certificates have been provided on the basis of the performances and regular tests, which were taken from time to time “, said Dr. Gupta.
On this occasion, Head IT Academics Puneet Goyal, Computer Instructor Anuj Teji, Manohar Narula and others were present on the occasion.
