UNICEF youth launches two-day workshop on Constitution Literacy
Constitutional Awareness is need of the hour: MLA Amritpal Singh Sukhanand
Ludhiana, July 7, 2022: On the directions of Secretary, Sports and Youth Services Punjab Raj Kamal Chaudhary and Director, Youth Services Department, Ludhiana Mr. Rajesh Dhiman a two-day Constitutional Awareness Workshop today organized by UNICEF and Community Youth Collective at Jacob Auditorium in PAU Ludhiana campus wherein a large number of young boys and girls from Ludhiana, Patiala and Jalandhar districts would be participating in this workshop.
Speaking at the inaugural event, MLA Bagha Purana Amritpal Singh Sukhanand said that constitutional awareness is important for every citizen. He also urged them to take this message to the masses in their respective areas so that the marginalized sections of the society could also be educated.
On this occasion Assistant Director Youth Services, Ludhiana Dr. Malkit Mann elaborated on the agenda of the two-day program and said that the youth participating in the training would also be involved in various activities for constitutional literacy in their respective fields. He further added that this pilot project is being launched in three districts which would further be extended to other areas.
UNICEF Representative Tripat Kaur further informed about the various sessions scheduled to be held in this workshop adding that he group participants will further train 30 people so as to make it a massive success.
On the occasion, Community Youth Collective experts Areeba and others also presented a report on the progress of this program in Punjab and other states. Likewise, Assistant Director, Youth Services Jalandhar Jaspal Singh, Assistant Director Youth Services Patiala Arun Kumar, Karanveer Singh, Jaswinder Kaur, Taranjit Kaur, Surinder Kumar were were also present.
