Rohtak, November 18, 2024: The Three Day 43rd Inter Zonal Youth Festival UNIFEST 2024 commenced today in Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (MDU).
The literary-cultural mega event got to a grand commencement with a wonderful presentation of music, dance, theatre, fine arts and literary creative expressions by the participating students of the affiliated colleges.
Chairperson of Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) Dr. Sharanjeet Kaur was the Chief Guest in the inaugural function. MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh presided over the function. Eminent entrepreneur and philanthropist Rajesh Jain was the Guest of Honor in the inaugural session.
Dean, Students' Welfare Prof. Randeep Rana is the Convener of UNIFEST 2024. Director, Youth Welfare Dr. Pratap Rathee delivered the Welcome Address. Organizing Secretary Prof.Divya Malhan expressed the Vote of Thanks.
The stage was conducted by Dr. Aarti Chahal, Dr. Ravi Prabhat and Dr. Jogender Mor. The highlight of the inaugural function was a scintillating music & dance performance by the students of Centre for Disability Students (CDS).
Dean, Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Maan, Registrar Prof. Gulshan Lal Taneja, senior University functionaries, HODs, Directors of Institutes, Principals of affiliated colleges, faculty members, Conveners & members of various organizing committees, University officials, participating team conveners & team members, other guests, students, etc. graced the occasion.
About 2000 students from about 40 affiliated colleges and University Teaching Departments are taking part in this three day mega event UNIFEST 2024.
