Union Budget 2025 discussed at GGNIMT
The discussions about the Union Budget-2025 were held at GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) Civil Lines today.
Ludhiana, February 3, 2025: The discussions about the Union Budget-2025 were held at GGN Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) Civil Lines today. A telecast of the Union Budget-2025 by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was attended by students of MBA, BBA & B Com Hons.
This was followed by presentations on the impact of Union Budget by the student teams, mentored by Faculty Members of GGNIMT. These presentations were on different sectors like health care, defence, infrastructure, taxation, education, banking services sector, manufacturing sector, software sector and agriculture. The event was organized by the Department of Business Management and attended by 150 students & faculty members. Student Presentations focused on the expectations from the Union Budget about a particular sector, announcements for that sector and the likely impact of the Union Budget on the sector. The session ended after an open house session and students raised various queries related to the budget.
Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, director, GGNIMT, congratulated the teachers of the Department of Business Management for their initiative and also hoped the event would have sensitized the students about the importance and compulsions of budgeting. Dr Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT said that discussions on the union budget were essential for the students as it would help them identify strong sectors for startups, entrepreneurial opportunities and available jobs. Dr Parvinder Singh, Head Business Management spoke about the state of Indian Economy to understand the rationale for sector wise allocation announced during the Union Budget 2025.
