Union Minister Manohar Lal urges youth to take inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekanand
Glowing tributes were paid to the Inspiring Icon Swami Vivekanand on the occasion of Vivekanand Jayanti and National Youth Day and rich tributes were paid to architect of Indian Constitution Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the Samvidhan Gaurav Samaroh and Rashtriya Yuva Diwas Samaroh organized in Maharshi Dayanand University today.

Rohtak, January 12, 2024: Glowing tributes were paid to the Inspiring Icon Swami Vivekanand on the occasion of Vivekanand Jayanti and National Youth Day and rich tributes were paid to architect of Indian Constitution Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the Samvidhan Gaurav Samaroh and Rashtriya Yuva Diwas Samaroh organized in Maharshi Dayanand University today.
Chief Guest of the function, Union Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal in his address said that youth must take inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekanand. He exhorted the youth to dedicate themselves for the cause of upliftment of the society following the path shown by Swami Vivekanand.
Union Minister Manohar Lal, paying tributes to Baba Saheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar said that the concept of equality, equity, inclusive development owes its origin to Baba Saheb’s pioneering work in drafting the constitution. He said that the BJP government is working steadfastly for welfare and development of all sections of society following the vision of Dr. Ambedkar. He said that the Constitution created by Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar is dynamic in nature. He said that the Central Govt. has made concerted efforts to bring the marginalized sections of the society into the mainstream by ensuring inclusive growth and development. He urged upon the students to spread the glorious message of Indian Constitution in society.
MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh paid wholesome tributes to Swami Vivekanand and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on the occasion. He highlighted their sterling contribution in various walks of life. MDU VC said that the university will celebrate the Indian Constitution’s 75th anniversary with several programmes during the whole year.
Retired IAS officer Dr. Dalip Singh, speaking as Guest of Honour, said that the Constitution has ensured rapid development of the nation. He said that the status of the poor, downtrodden, and marginalized has improved drastically due to the constitutional provisions resulting in a welfare- centric state. He informed that the constitutional amendments made during Prime Minister(s) Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Narendra Modi have firmly ensured the interests of the reserved categories (SC/ ST/ BC/ EWS) of the nation.
Former Haryana Minister Manish Grover graced the programme as Guest of Honour. Media Advisor to Union Minister Sudesh Kataria also spoke on the occasion. A documentary film was screened in the programme. MDU Registrar Prof. Gulshan Lal Taneja expressed the Vote of Thanks. Dean, Academic Affairs Prof. A. S. Maan, Deans of Faculties, HODs, faculty members, research scholars, invited guests, distinguished citizens of Rohtak were present in the programme organized in Tagore Auditorium today.
Earlier, floral tributes were paid at Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar and Swami Vivekand's statue(s) on the campus by the Chief Guest, Union Minister Manohar Lal, Guest of Honour Manish Grover & Dr. Dalip Singh, MDU VC Prof. Rajbir Singh, and other dignitaries.
