Unique initiative: School students take out rally against cruelty towards animals
Chandigarh, October 3, 2021: Students of I.S. Dev Samaj School , Sec 21 here showed their concern for animals. As many as 80 students of the school took out a rally to mark ‘Pashu Jagat Divas’ which is observed by the 'Dev Samaj' to show solidarity for animals, create awareness about protecting animals and shun any kind of cruelty towards them.
The students were flagged off from the school by Dr. (Mrs.) Agnese Dhillon, Principal, Dev Samaj College of Education(DSCE), Sector 36, Chandigarh and Vice Principal of I.S. Dev Samaj Sr. Sec. School, Mrs. Sabeeha Dhillon Mangat.
Dr Agnese Dhillon, said,"Dev Samaj aims to cultivate refined relationships with fellow human beings, animal kingdom , plant kingdom and even the inanimate world. 'Pashu Jagat Diwas' is one of the most significant days which is associated with the animal kingdom. The rally was taken out by the children to raise awareness on the need to stop cruelty towards animals."
The students, participated in the rally enthusiastically, raised slogans against cruelty towards animals and displayed posters & placards to sensitize the residents to 'Save Animals' and to be kind towards them. The students marched around Sec 21 to increase sensitivity of humans towards animals. The rally ended at the school.
