United India Insurance Company Ltd carried out CSR activity at Govt School in Bagli Kalan

Khanna (Ludhiana): Under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, United India Insurance Company Ltd has adopted Government School in Bagli Kalan village near Khanna, wherein water storage tank, some books, kit and other items worth about Rs.2 lakh were provided for the primary schoolchildren.
On this occasion, Chief Regional Manager (CRM), Santosh Kumar Singh, from United India Insurance, Ludhiana Regional Office, attended the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Regional Manager, Santosh Kumar Singh said that United India Insurance Company Ltd is the largest company in the country's second largest insurance arm, which is providing its services in the field of social service in addition to its insurance business. He added that such schools or other institutions of the local areas are selected where financial assistance can be made available.
According to the CRM, the United India Insurance Company Ltd's Regional Office at Ludhiana, has adopted many schools, including a school on Railway road, Khanna. Needed infrastructure is made available in these selected sshools under the CSR programme. He added the company had spent Rs.17 crore for the CSR activities across India last year. He said a total 335 schools have been adopted across the country. Of these schools, 14 schools have been adopted in Ludhiana region of the company.
A colorful cultural programme was also organised by the children of the school.
A quiz related to insurance for schoolchildren was also held.
Regional Manager, O.P. Bibiyan; CSR, Nodal Officer, Usha Grover; Senior Division Manager, Meena Samra; Deputy Manager Shweta Goyal; Senior Branch Manager, Prem Pahuja and Khanna Branch Manager Navjot Singh were present.
