University Business School, Ludhiana students visit Trident Industries Barnala Plant

Ludhiana, February 21, 2016: Students of Master of Business Administration Program of University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana accompanied by Director Prof Harmeet Singh Sandhu and Coordinator Dr.Ravi Inder Singh visited Daula and Barnala Plant of the Trident Group of Industries. Mr.Amit Gupta, President Taxation, Trident Group of Industries and Mr.Vikramjit Singh from indirect taxation department of Trident extended welcome to the director, faculty and the students. Mr.Amit Sharma, Assistant Director General Foreign Trade was also invited as a special guest. Miss Gurinder Kaur, Master trainer from Trident Industries, made presentation of the trident group and the various processes to the students and thereafter students took round of the paper, towel and yarn manufacturing plants. Prof. Harmeet Singh Sandhu while talking with the press stated that to provide better learning environment to the students industrial visits, interaction of the students with experts from industry are organized on a regular basis. Mr.Amit Sharma, Assistant Director General Foreign Trade appreciated the efforts of the faculty and students and motivated them to inculcate reading habits. Mr. Shivam Gupta student of MBA 2nd year while talking with the press stated that the visit was full of learning, we could come to know about the systems being used in trident which has led to making of Trident as a world class brand. Another student Ms. Megha Aggarwal stated that visit to Trident Industries has been highly effective, it has not only apprised us about the importance of team work and other important managerial aspects but has also familiarized us with technical aspects.
