Ludhiana, April 26, 2022: University Business School, Panjab University Regional Centre organised a talk on the topic ‘Campus to Corporate, Employability Skills’. Mr. Sudhir Dua, Managing Director, Debros Entreprises & Founder We are Motivators along with Ms. Indu Punj, a renowned Trainer, Counsellor, Storyteller & Founder, Stories Matter were the invited expert speakers.
Mr. Shashi Kapoor extended a floral welcome to the resource persons and highlighted the importance of acquisition of employability skills by the students along with good academic credits for their holistic development.
Mr. Dua has an enriching hand-on experience of training and motivating the students and corporate employees across India. He emphasised that the industry is looking forward to corporate ready individuals and the students must focus on enhancing their skills to meet the industry expectations. For this he stressed that the students must undergo internships and undertake various projects of their interests in the industry. During these projects the students must be a keen observer of the best practices underway in the industry and develop insights that will help the students to distinguish themselves from the crowd. He further, encouraged the students to manage time and be ever ready to acquire new skills and keep exploring the talent within.
Ms. Indu Punj, an excellent counsellor delivered a very interactive session with the students. She in her own style integrated story telling into teaching to enable better conservation with the students. The students were encouraged to share their life events in form of the story with the group. This exercise not only encouraged the students to come out of their shell but also helped them to express themselves more freely in a group.
