University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh organizing its Silver Jubilee reunion & Alumni Meet 

Chandigarh, December 21, 2022: One of the premier B-schools of the region responsible for imparting quality education in the field of management sciences, University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh is organizing its Silver Jubilee reunion & Alumni Meet on Friday, 23rd December, 2022.
Every year, UBS organizes its Silver Jubilee reunion & Alumni Meet to celebrate and cherish the achievements of its alumni, but current meet is rather special. This year, University Business School is proud to celebrate the silver jubilee for not only one batch but three successful alumni batches, i.e., 1995, 1996, and 1997, as it is being held after a gap of two long years owing to the global pandemic. The event is going to be graced by many well-known, reputable and distinguished corporate personalities who are spread out globally and hold top-notch positions that vary from country managers to Presidents in esteemed multinational conglomerates.
The venues of the event are the Law Auditorium (Arts Block IV) and the University Business School (Arts Block III) of the University premises. The University Business School is expecting to welcome more than 100 alumni from the silver jubilee batches of 1995, 1996 and 1997.
The registration process for the event is expected to start at 9 a.m. on 23rd December, 2022 at the Law Auditorium, after which the guests will be served with refreshments. The function will be presided over by the Chief Guest, Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Other dignitaries as Guest of Honour, namely Prof. B.K. Kuthiala, Chairman, Haryana State Higher Education Council, Mr. Kuldeep Kaul, Founding member, UBS Alumni Association, and Mr. Anurag Aggarwal, President, UBS Alumni Association as well as other guests will also grace the event.
The meet will be hosted by Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Chairperson, University Business School and Prof. Parmjit Kaur, the faculty co-ordinator of Alumni Relations, University Business School, Panjab University, Chandigarh. In the press release, Prof. Parmjit Kaur stated that “the objective of Alumni Meet is to instil a sense of belongingness towards the alma mater among the alumni by being in constant touch with them”. The function will be followed by the felicitation of the revered teachers and alumni of silver jubilee batches of 1995, 1996, and 1997. Around 2 o’ clock, the guests would be taken for lunch in the ground opposite UBS premises post which a few other activities are scheduled.
The event will act as a forum for the current students at University Business School to interact with the guests through an Alumni-Student Interaction. This is where the future managers can gain some useful insights into the corporate world from the alumni. Students can widen the scope of their knowledge and gain from the rich experience their alumni have in various fields of commerce and management.
Adding a little cultural tadka, students performing dance forms like Giddha, Bhangra, Pahari Nati, Ghoomar, Garba, Haryanvi and Bollywood, and singing performances are expected to blossom up the event. The fun element will take up a notch through various exciting activities. The program is scheduled to last till the evening, at the end of which high tea will be served before bidding farewell to the alumni.
The occasion is seen as a wonderful tradition for the alumni to recall their past and walk down the memory lane. It is a perfect opportunity for everyone to connect and make binding relationships.
