Chandigarh, September 23, 2022: University School of Open Learning (USOL), Panjab University, Chandigarh, organized a five-day faculty development programme on the theme: Distance Education: Preparedness for NEP 2020 w.e.f September 19-23.
The resource persons deliberated on significant changes expected from distance educators in the field of online courses, research, innovation, structure and functioning of Higher Education Institutions. A varied range of topics deliberated upon included the tools of video making, YouTube library, Mendeley software, Open Education Resources and many more will definitely go a long way in enhancing the proficiency and skills of the distance educators. This, in turn, would pave the way for building better connections with the open learners situated across the country.
The valedictory session held on 23.9.22 and was conducted by Prof Harsh Gandhar, coordinator of the programme. The Chairperson welcomed the speakers and participants and appreciated efforts of Prof Harsh for organizing the event and faculty members for making it successful. The faculty members appreciated the move of Prof Neeru, Chairperson of USOL and Prof Harsh Gandhar. Prof Harsh proposed vote of thanks.
