Unleashing Talent: PCTE witnessed the brilliance of young minds at Athena
The PCTE Group of Institutes proudly celebrated the extraordinary brilliance of young minds during Athena, an inter-college IT fest that drew participants from over 20 colleges across Punjab. This event served as a distinguished platform for students to showcase their innovative prowess and technical acumen, marking a convergence of talent and ingenuity in the region.
Ludhiana, March 20, 2024: The PCTE Group of Institutes proudly celebrated the extraordinary brilliance of young minds during Athena, an inter-college IT fest that drew participants from over 20 colleges across Punjab. This event served as a distinguished platform for students to showcase their innovative prowess and technical acumen, marking a convergence of talent and ingenuity in the region.
The festivities commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting ceremony graced by esteemed directors of the Engineering Department and distinguished Chief Guests. Following the inauguration, a graceful rendition of Saraswati Vandana invoked blessings for the proceedings. An enlightening discourse ensued, outlining the essence and objectives of the event, graciously sponsored by Auribises Technologies, Shiv Shakti Autoparts Solitaire Infosys, AIT, KITTY (The Master Baker), Carabao Energy Drink, and BlackBox Productions.
Students were presented with a myriad of avenues to exhibit and challenge their skills, starting with a riveting quiz and encompassing captivating videography and photography competitions. These platforms provided students with opportunities to demonstrate both their professional aptitude and artistic flair.
Participants engaged in intellectually stimulating competitions such as bridge making and testing, best out of waste, blind coding in darkness using C++, Python, and Java, as well as graphic and web designing. Alongside academic pursuits, students indulged in enjoyable endeavors such as LAN gaming and treasure hunts, fostering camaraderie and excitement among participants.
The engineering department of PCTE curated a vibrant customer hub, featuring food stalls, musical performances, and engaging fun games, enhancing the event's allure.
Ishan, esteemed Director, and Founder of Orbasis, graced the occasion and honored the accomplished winners, acknowledging their outstanding achievements across various competitions. Lovely Professional University emerged victorious in the Hackathon event, earning a prize of INR 10,000 along with an invitation to the Holi Party. GNE College clinched the overall prize for ATHENA
