Varanasi, June 25 (HS): A police official stated on Sunday that a sub-inspector assigned to the Aurai police station was killed after his motorbike was hit by an unidentified car in Varanasi. Sub-inspector Sushil Tripathi, 55, was in Varanasi for a probe when the accident occurred on Saturday late night. Circle officer of Aurai, Umeshwar Pratap Singh, said Tripathi died of his injuries at a medical hospital in Varanasi. After a postmortem, the deceased's body was returned to his hometown in the Chandauli district.
