UTCA Chandigarh beat Delhi Capitals Dev. Squad by 4 wickets 

Mohali/Chandigarh, September 7, 2021: Winning the toss and electing to bat at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium, Delhi Capital Dev. Squad put on 235 for 8 in 50 overs.  Kedar Devdhar 33 and Rajesh Sharma 62 put on 49 runs for the first wicket while Vikas Solanki 24 and Rajesh Sharma added 58 runs for the 2nd wicket.  The 6th wicket stand between Prerak Mankad  58 of 48 balls with 7 boundaries and one six with Mayank Rawat  29 off 44 balls with one boundary and one six helped the team reach 235 for 8.  For  UTCA Chandigarh Bhagmender Singh 3 for 24 was the most successful bowler. Replying UTCA scored 236 for 6 in 49.1 overs.  Taranpreet Singh 42 and Shivam Bhambri  44 were involved in an opening stand of 92 runs in 19.5 overs.  Thereafter, Gaurav Puri  unbeaten 75 off  78 balls with 4 boundaries and 2 sixes and Rahul Sharma unbeaten 27 off 44 balls were involved in an unbroken stand of 73 runs for the 7th wicket to take the team past the winning post.  Shiva Singh 3 for 43 and Pulkit Narang 2 for 38 were the main wicket takers for Delhi Capitals.  UTCA got 4 points while Delhi Squad got Zero.  Gaurav Puri off UTCA for his unbeaten knock of 75 was named TRIDENT Man of the Match which was given by Mr. Sarban Singh former Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana.
 
In the second match played at Maharaja Yadavindra Cricket Stadium Mullanpur, UPCA defeated PCC  Mohali by 3 wickets and garnered 4 points while PCC got zero.  UPCA winning the toss opted to field first against PCC Mohali.  PCC Mohali lost their centurian opener Nehal Wadhera for 4 and thereafter Abhijeet Garg 103 off 112 balls with 10 boundaries and 2 sixes and Naman Dhir  40 off 48 balls with 2 boundaries and 2 sixes put on 122 runs for the 2nd wicket.,  PCC innings ended at 254 in 50 overs.  Abhijeet Garg was the 4th man out with the total reading 172 for 4.  For UPCA the bowling honours were shared by Yash Dayal  4 for 34, Akeev Khan 3 for 56 and Karan Sharma  2 for 29 .
 
Replying UPCA scored 255 for 7 in 49.3 overs to record a 3 wickets win and garner 4 points. UPCA’s innings was held together by Abhishek Goswami  44 off 53 balls with 7 boundaries and one six, Akashdeep Nath unbeaten 87 off 90 balls with 8 boundaries and Sandeep Tomar  43 off 48 balls with 3 boundaries and one six. For PCC the bowling honours were shared by Barinder Sran  2 for 50, Gurnoor Brar 2 for 54 and Prerit Dutta 2 for 53.  Akashdeep Nath was presented the TRIDENT Man of the match award by Mr. Bhupinder Singh Sr former National Selector. 
 
In the 3rd match played at GMSSS Sector 26 Chandigarh between Players XI Delhi and PCA Colts, Players XI winning the toss opted to field.   Their decision paid rich dividends as PCA Colts batsmen floundered and were bowled out for a measly 113 in 37.4 overs being the lowest total of the tournament this year.  Salil Arora  37 off 52 balls with 5 boundaries was the only Colts batsman to show some resistance.  For Players XI Delhi Manish Sehrawat 4 for 17 and Hrithik Shoukeen  3 for 27 were the most successful bowlers.  Players XI Delhi secured 4 points as they romped home to a comfortable 5 wickets win in 31 overs.  

For PCA Colts Ashwani Kumar 2 for 18 was the most successful bowler.

Players XI Delhi got  4 points while PCA Colts got zero.  Manish Sehrawat of Players XI Delhi was given the TRIDENT Man of the Mach by Bhupinder Singh Jr. , Chairman Sr. Selection Committee, PCA.
