Valedictory function entitled `Jashn-E-Ruksat' held at PCM S.D College for Women

Jalandhar, May 14, 2022: PCM S.D. College for Women, Jalandhar bid a fond wishing well to the outgoing classes of final year with great enthusiasm. The chief guest of the day was Prof.(Dr.) Pooja Prashar,  the worthy Principal of the college. She was accorded a floral welcome by Dr. Neena Mittal and  Mrs. Priya Mahajan, in-charges of the function. The event was an absolute fiesta devoted to the time spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The event commenced with a fusion dance performance. After which, the students of the department of Music sung a Sufi song and then a Folk song. Principal Ma'am addressed the final year students, wherein, she motivated the students  by encouraging them to proceed boldly with goals and courage in their hearts. She also appreciated their efforts of the students for enthusiastically participating in various college activities and raising the bar of perfection. She wished them luck to make a mark in the world outside, carrying forth the college motto of 'Do Your Job Well'. Vishali of B.Com Semester VI delivered an address expressing gratitude to the mentors and teachers for their invaluable contribution in making their college journey a memorable one. The highlight of the function was the beautiful cultural presentations showcased by the students. The students put forth a mix of scintillating dance performances, entertaining theatre, melodious songs and pulsating music that rocked the auditorium. Various games were also held for the students. A modeling competition took place where Sheeba of Msc (FD) Semester IV was the second runners up and Kamaldeep of MBEIT Semester IV was the first runners up. Ruchika was crowned as Miss.SD.
Apart from this, Garima of M.Com Semester IV was bestowed with the title of Hi Fi Hairstyle, Sunaina of BBF Semester II was given the title of Smashing Smile, Priyanka of BBF Semester II was given the title of Dashing Dress. Simran, a second year student shared her experience with the seniors highlighting their contributions and learning experience they received so that the juniors too follow their foot prints. The dedication and efforts taken by the seniors in every activity of the college was recalled during her speech. The students danced to their heart’s content to the music belted out by the DJ. Many were seen clicking pictures of friends and teachers – capturing memories of college forever. The event concluded with   a vote of thanks by Dr. Neena Mittal. The honourable members of the Management and the worthy Principal of the college wished best of luck to the outgoing students. The stage was skillfully conducted by     Mrs Divya Budhia Gupta and students Deepali of MBEIT Semester II and Shreya of B.Com Semester IV. At last, lunch was arranged for the whole gathering.
