Ludhiana, March 9, 2013: Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Ludhiana in collaboration with Auto Parts Manufacturers Association, Ludhiana organised National Vendor Development Programme cum Buyers – Sellers Meet/ Industrial Exhibition at Institute of Auto Parts and Hand Tools Technology, Ludhiana from March 7-9.

On concluding day today, thousands of visitors visited the stalls of products displayed by the industry of Punjab.  It is expected to generate a business of more than Rs. 100 crores in coming future.  Especially orders from Rail Coach Factory, Defence, Air Force are likely to be received.

In its valedictory function held today, G.S. Kahlon, President, Auto Parts Manufactures Association, Ludhiana and Manjit Singh Khalsa welcomed the Chief Guest of the programme Ranjit Singh Dhillon, M.L.A. Kahlon also welcomed S.S. Dhillon, Director, MSME-Development Institute, Ludhiana and other dignitaries present in the valedictory function.

Ranjit Singh Dhillon, M.L.A. addressed the meeting of the industrialists and informed that the matter regarding Permanent Exhibition Centre for Industry at Focal Point, Ludhiana is already under the consideration of Punjab Government and file has been submitted to Anil Joshi, Industries Minister, Punjab. He informed that after completing all the procedural formalities, Permanent Exhibition Centre will be established in Focal Point, Ludhiana for the welfare of the industry of Punjab.

Adding, he said that such type of events bring together capable MSEs and large enterprises on a common platform and also helped in information sharing on their requirements. He appreciated the efforts made by MSME-DI, Ludhiana and Auto Parts Manufacturers Association to organise such a big programme for developing partnership between MSMEs, large government buyers and PSUs. He expressed that industry is the back bone of economic development.  He assured that efforts will be made to eradicate the problems being faced by the industry of Punjab.
