Chandigarh February 11, 2024: Under the aegis of the Centre for Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (CSDE), Panjab University, the Valedictory Function of the twelve-day Skill Enhancement Course (SEC) on Financial Modelling through Excel Automation was held at University Business School (UBS) on 10th February.
CSDE specially curated the SEC to meet the skilling needs of MBA and M.Com. (Honours) students to the intricacies of financial modelling, focusing on practical applications and automation using Microsoft Excel.
The Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker of the function, Anurag Aggarwal, Managing Director, PK Industries, who is also an alumnus of UBS (MBA Batch 1993-1995), emphasized that the ability to make strategic financial decisions is paramount in today’s dynamic business landscape. Financial modelling is an essential skill for professionals that aids in informed decision-making, future planning, and assessing the viability of various strategies.
Aggarwal appreciated the pivotal role played by CSDE in meeting the students’ skill needs.
