Valedictory session of an Interdisciplinary Refresher Course in Indian Studies organised by The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) was held today at the south campus building of the centre. The course was a contact mode course which was attended by 42 faculty members from Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and some other states.
Chandigarh, October 28, 2024: Valedictory session of an Interdisciplinary Refresher Course in Indian Studies organised by The Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Centre (MMTTC) was held today at the south campus building of the centre. The course was a contact mode course which was attended by 42 faculty members from Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and some other states.
The course arrived to sensitise the participants about the Indian realities which would help in their teaching and research. The participants warmed up to the interactive and participative modes of the programme and felt that online mode of training is a very compromised mode. They demanded more and more visits to museum, Labs, libraries, which would benefit them beyond the content.
Prof. Vasundhara Singh, Dean Faculty affairs Punjab Engineering College deemed to be University, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest, who gave the message of transformative pedagogy to the faculty attendees.
Prof Virendra Kumar, Prof. S. Mohanty, Prof. Anuadha Choudhry, Prof Mrittunjoy Majumdar and Dr Devinder Sharma were some of the illuminaries, who deliberated upon the relevant themes during the programmes. Participants stated that the course has opened a new vaster for them.
