Chandigarh, February 14, 2019: The doctors and celebrities came together to celebrate Valentine’s Day in a different style at Sukhna Lake today. The event marked the feast of entertaining activities in which several celebrity models and singers got connected to this noble cause. During event through dance, yoga, singing and ramp walk carrying placards, they motivated the people for connecting to healthy entertainment rather than falling victim to harmful addictions. They also stressed the value of healthy long lasting happy relationships rather than the make-up and break-up trends which harm the heart in long run. The organizer of event , Dr. Deepak Puri , Exe Dir & Head- Cardiac Sciences and at Ivy Healthcare and Global Chairman- Çardiomersion said that a true Valentine is the one who cares for you and helps you to inculcate a purpose into your existence so that you can live a healthy , meaningful and happier life. He said further, February month is also celebrated as heart month to spread awareness about the rising risk of heart diseases among women. An average Indian lives almost 25-yr less than a Japanese and WHO has already predicted India will be capital of coronary artery disease in the world by 2020, he pointed out. Therefore it is a wake-up call to everyone to take care of their own heart as well as the heart of their beloved from this Valentine's Day, he remarked. He said, heart is affected by all positive and negative emotions and stress related to changing relationship patterns being followed by the present generation. Several studies conducted worldwide have proven that those who are in steady and emotionally happy relationship live longer and healthier while those who do not socialize or suffer from broken relationships have higher risk of heart attacks , Diabetes ,cancers, depressions and addictions, he informed.
