Literary Activities Performed During Monthly Meeting of PAUs Young Writers Association
Ludhiana, February 15, 2019: Young Writers' Association of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, celebrates Valentine’s Day every year during which the students and teachers express their emotional creations based on various social issues. Delivering information about Valentine's Day celebrated this year, the association's teacher-in-charge Dr.Devinder Dilrup said that during this monthly meeting on the occasion of Valentine's Day, compositions dedicated to the colors of patriotism especially on world peace were shared by the students of the varsity. The Ludhiana based writer and poetess Sumit Gogiya, who created her unique identity despite physical and mental illness, also interacted with the audience during the function.
During the function, the welcome was done by the student coordinator Palwinder Singh Bassi. Student Gaganageet narrated the poem about girls' problems and dedicated it to the victim girl of Ludhiana. Student Sandeep Kaur also presented the poem dedicating to the martyrs of the country along with stage commencing. Assistant Professor of the Mechanical Engineering Department of Varsity Eng Bikramjit Singh made the ceremony very interesting with his zealous Gazal while the student Prabhadyal made everyone laugh with his humorous poetry.
After delivering loving poems to the students, in charge of the association, Dr. Dilroop gave the vote of thanks. In respect for the soldiers who were martyred in Pulwama attack, a minute of silence was also kept. Writer Sumit Gogiya said that we should all respect our parents; if we should celebrate Valentine’s Day with someone then they are our parents only.
