The second day of a Value-Added Course for Research Scholars on ‘Professional Excellence and Personal Finance Management for Students’ organized by Department of Botany and Sociology in collaboration with Human Resource Development Centre, Panjab University, Chandigarh, (under the aegis of RUSA) witnessed highly interactive sessions by Simran Johnson, a certified transformational coach with IFM Fincoach, on Making the Right Professional Impression and Power Dressing. She started with various types of impressions and moved on to the voice modulation and etiquettes and asserted that one has to take charge of the impressions that one is making. The session on power dressing focussed on clothes being an important tool for creating a distinct signature memorable style.
The interactional sessions kept the audience engaged and amused all along. The post lunch session focussed on Understanding Financial Products by Ashok Kumar, Ex-Executive Vice President UTI Mutual Funds. He apprised the participants on various financial products, mutual funds, risk profiling and how to choose the right product.
The course is being coordinated by Dr Jaspreet Kaur and Prof. Richa Puri, Department of Botany, PU, Chandigarh.
