Vanmohatsav celebrated by Forest Department coupled with plantation drive
550 saplings of different varieties were distributed
Ferozepur, August 24, 2021: Mayank Foundation celebrated Van Mahotsav to protect the environment under the leadership of Divisional Forest Officer Amritpal Singh. The Mahotsav started with plantation from the Municipality Park. After this, “plants distribution (Podya da langar) was organised in which 550 saplings of Chakrasia, Neem, Kaner, Alstonia, Silver Oak were distributed.
On this occasion, Forest Range Officer Chamkaur Singh said that we should plant more and more saplings. While they are useful for nature, they keep the environment clean and create a conducive environment for rainfall. They also meet our domestic needs. Plants provide us with nutritious fruits. Everyone must plant a sapling in their house. On this occasion, Rakesh Kumar, Secretary, Mayank Foundation appreciated the efforts of the Forest Department and promised to always cooperate.
On this occasion, Block Officers Gurpreet Singh, Kuldeep Dogra, Satpal Singh, Forest Guard Kulwant Singh, Malkit Singh and members of Mayank Foundation Aksh Kumar, Vikas Gumbar, Gur Sahib, Anil Machral and Davinder Nath were specially present.
