Vardhman signs MoU with Christian Medical College & Hospital for up-graded medical infrastructure

Ludhiana: Vardhman Textiles and Christian Medical College, Ludhiana today signed a MoU for the renovation and upgradation of hospital infrastructure to provide better healthcare services to the patients. The MoU was signed between Dr William Bhatti, Director, Christian Medical College Society and Mr S P Oswal, Chairman & Managing Director, Vardhman Textiles.  Dr Joseph John from CMC Hospital and Mr D.K. Sindwani, Director along with Mr Vikas Kumar, VP-HR from Vardhman were present on this occasion.  
As a responsible corporate citizen, Vardhman continuously strives to constructively contribute for building a healthy and better society through its CSR endeavours. The company has been regularly providing financial grants to the prominent charitable and Govt. run hospitals for the treatment of poor patients.  It had also helped in the construction of a level three Covid care ward at CMC during the second wave.  The hospital has been serving the society for over 125 years and required an infrastructural upgrade.  
Under the renovation project, Vardhman shall be funding the development of state of the art Vardhman Multi-Speciality Ward, Vardhman Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Cell and Vardhman CMC Rehabilitation Centre. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 6.30 Crores. Once developed, these facilities will substantially enhance the capacity of Hospital for admitting patients besides providing advanced medical support.   
Terming the support to be a responsibility Vardhman willingly bears, Mr Vikas said that “All our CSR initiatives are planned after evaluating the need. We try to ensure that the benefit reaches the needy.”   Dr William appreciated the help and value addition Vardhman has been providing to the hospital to better serve the community saying “The organization is contributing to the people and the county by providing support in areas which impact a large number of people.”
