Vardhman Special Steels starts digital literacy program for women micro entrepreneurs
Ludhiana, February 28, 2024 Vardhman Special Steels limited (VSSL) under its CSR and project Nari Shakti on Wednesday started the project of digital literacy for strengthening women micro entrepreneurs in urban slums of Ludhiana.
The project was started by VSSL's vice chairman Sachit Jain along with formal signing of MoU with IDEA foundation and Mera Bill. The project is aimed for creating literary among women so that they can keep the record of their daily business transactions and learn to manage well.
NABARD and IDEA head Rakesh Malhotra also shared the importance of this project and the benefits that the women will have as the project rolls on. He also thanked the management of VSSL for the opportunity given to them to create betterment for society.
Executive Director RK Rewari shared his experience and also stressed on importance of such initiative for strengthening of urban slum women entrepreneurs. Senior Manager CSR and Admn Amit Dhawan said that the project would bring a change in life of slum women entrepreneurs' life and help them to organize their records for betterment.
The event was attended by students and volunteers of Khalsa College for Women and team of HDFC bank and others.
