VC Prof Sudesh calls upon to join plantation campaign wholeheartedly for betterment of the environment

Sonipat, August 14, 2024: Vice Chancellor Prof Sudesh today launched a plantation campaign at Bhagat Phool Singh Mahila Vishwavidyalaya Under the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Planting a sapling in the Administration Block lawns, VC Prof Sudesh said that we all have to join the plantation campaign wholeheartedly for the betterment of the environment. She described plantation as the need of the hour in view of the environmental challenges being faced in the present times. VC Prof Sudesh urged the girl students to plant at least one tree and take care of it.

Officiating Registrar Prof Shweta Singh said that this plantation campaign will also be run in the affiliated colleges of Women Varsity. Former Registrar of Kurukshetra University Prof Hawa Singh, Kamala Devi, Chief Warden Dr Suman Dalal, Director Public Relations Lt. Colonel (Dr) Anil Balhara and other staff members were present on the occasion.

VC Prof Sudesh also flagged off the Tiranga Yatra from the Academic Block-1 of the university under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, which is being run with the aim of inculcating the spirit of patriotism and promoting awareness about the Indian national flag. The Vice Chancellor said that the national flag Tricolor represents the pride of India. The girl students enthusiastically raised the slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram during the Tiranga Yatra.
