VC, PU chaired special interactive meeting
Directs for revamp of solar panels installed in hostels
Chandigarh: Prof. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, Chandigarh chaired the special interactive meeting with Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Neena Capalash, Dean Student Welfare(W), Wardens and officials of the University, here today. He urged all to work towards National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) Ratings which is due in the year 2022. All efforts for improvement in the NAAC ratings be made by concerned officials.
PU VC asked them to ensure for better infrastructure facilities for the all-round development of the residents. The Wardens were asked to plan activities for the welfare for the residents in order to inculcate in them, the spiritual, moral and ethical values.
He urged all to provide basic facilities and amenities to the residents. Availability and accessibility to the residents also be ensured for the feedback and the redressal of their grievances.
PU VC assured of all help for the welfare of residents. He further gave the directions for revamp of solar panels installed in the hostels. He also instructed for renovation of mess/canteens.
He desired that the residents be motivated to enrol for Earn While Learn to provide them hands on experience of various activities of PU.
The meeting was attended by Prof. R.K. Singla, Dean Research, Prof. Devinder Singh among other officials of the University.
Later, PU VC interacted with the elected members of Panjab University Campus Student Council and desired that the Council should work for the betterment of the facilities to the students of the Campus so that, the ranking and grading of the University can be improved.
On the demand of students, it was desired that possibility of issuing monthly passes of E-Rickshaw be explored. It was also desired by PU VC that various parks in the South Campus be developed with flood lights installed in the same.
