Vet Varsity gets accolades at Regional Workshop

Ludhiana, September 9, 2024: The University Library of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana has been awarded a Certificate of Appreciation and a memento for the Highest Profile Creation on J-Gate Discovery Platform amongst State Agricultural Universities /Central Agricultural Universities /Deemed Universities for Northern Region (2023) at the annual J-Gate@CeRA Regional Training cum Awareness Workshop. It was organized at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Srinagar.Vet Varsity is a member of Consortium for e-Resources in Agriculture (CeRA) facilitating access to peer-reviewed International and National journals to member institutions. The University Library in its endeavor to fulfill the information needs of the University fraternity provides an orientation regarding the usage of CeRA and creates users profiles on the consortium, regularly. In this pursuit, the Library created the highest number of user profiles during the year 2023, which has been duly recognized.

Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the sincere efforts of Dr. Nirmal Singh, Librarian and his team for getting the due recognition from the ICAR and M/s Informatics Publishing Limited, Bangalore for providing efficient and effective yeoman services to the academic fraternity of the University and further stressed upon the use of digital technology to its fullest in future also.
