Vet Varsity releases Handbook and New Year Calendar

Ludhiana, January 2, 2024: Handbook and New Year calendar 2024 of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana were released by Dr. Inderjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor of the University today on 01 January 2024. Dr. Singh said that this Handbook contains the summary of Package of Practices for livestock farming, important animal diseases, their management, and a comprehensive list of facilities available for the farmers in the university. He also said that the Vet Varsity is significantly contributing to the improvement of the livestock industry in the region and assured that it will continue to do the same in future also through its main campus, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Regional Research and Training Centres. Further Dr. Singh conveyed his best wishes for the nation, the livestock sector, and everyone involved in this sector, both directly and indirectly.
Dr Parkash Singh Brar, Director of Extension Education, said that the directorate of extension education strives its best to disseminate the scientific knowledge to the stakeholders through all possible means including training, literature, magazine, mobile apps, YouTube channel and other social media.
Dr JPS Gill, Director Research, Dr S K Uppal, Dean Post Graduate studies, Dr VK Dumka, Comptroller, Dr RS Sethi, Additional Director of Research were also present on this occasion.
