Vet Varsity Shines at National Poultry Symposium
The postgraduate students and Faculty member from Department of Livestock Products Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, made outstanding achievements at 39th Indian Poultry Science Association Conference (IPSACON-2024) and National Symposium on “Shaping the Indian Poultry Sector for sustainable growth”.
Ludhiana, October 22, 2024: The postgraduate students and Faculty member from Department of Livestock Products Technology, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, made outstanding achievements at 39th Indian Poultry Science Association Conference (IPSACON-2024) and National Symposium on “Shaping the Indian Poultry Sector for sustainable growth”. It was organized by the Department of Poultry Science, Nagpur Veterinary College, Maharashtra Animal, and Fishery Science University Nagpur in collaboration with Indian Poultry Science Association, Bareilly.
Dr. Rajesh V. Wagh, was awarded the “Best Poster Presentation Award” for outstanding research on the “Development of functional Pasta fortified with spent hen meat and DHA powder.” He also acted as Rapporteur in the scientific session on Post-Harvest and Technology. Dr. Nitin Mehta co-authored this research work. Dr. Yashpal Singh, Head of the Department, said that recognition at a national level will certainly impel the department team to work more meticulously.
Dr. SPS Ghuman, Dean, College of Veterinary Science, highlighted the department's achievements, expressing that such prestigious scientific recognitions will undoubtedly inspire faculty members and students to work with diligence and passion. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Uppal, Dean, Postgraduate Studies, emphasized that the university’s scientific community is working persistently for the advancement of the livestock sector in Punjab and India. Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor, commended the team's achievements and emphasized the importance of the university's scientific fraternity dedicating itself to innovative applied research to uplift farmers and budding entrepreneurs.
