Vicky Middukhera Foundation organizes blood donation and a free dental camp at PU Fest
Fulfilling its social responsibility, Vicky Middukhera Foundation organized a blood donation and free dental camp in the memory of student leader Late Vicky Middukhera.
Chandigarh, February 16, 2024: Fulfilling its social responsibility, Vicky Middukhera Foundation organized a blood donation and free dental camp in the memory of student leader Late Vicky Middukhera.
The camp was held as part of the 'Vimarsh' fest organized at Panjab University . Vicky's brother and Akali Dal leader Ajaypal Singh Middukhera participated as the chief guest and inaugurated the camp by personally donating blood.
Those present alongwith Ajaypal Singh Middukhera included JP Brar, Prince Takhar, Karanvir Kranti, Lovepreet Sandhu, Mohit Rana, Gagan Rai, Simran Dhaliwal, Jaiveer Brar, Arsh Dhillon, Savvy Sirsa, Manta Saran, Ratan Veer, Devak, Inderjit Langiana, Anmol, Shindar, Jaipal, Bhupinder, Gurveer, Hrithik, Lovely, among others .
On this occasion, 110 units of blood were donated by the participants, mostly students. To conduct the blood donation camp, a team of doctors from the Transfusion Department of PGIMER worked under the leadership of Dr. Anubhav Gupta, while a team of doctors from Dr. Harivansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Sector 25, worked under the leadership of Dr. Prabhjot Kaur to conduct the dental check up camp.
Ajaypal Singh Middukhera said on the occasion that many social activities have been planned under the aegis of Vicky Middukhera Foundation. One such project is to identify 8-10 needy students from economically weaker sections and provide them with financial assistance for their higher education. He further said that a cricket tournament too will be held soon to promote sports among the youth. He added that organizing the blood donation and dental check up camp at the PU Fest was a successful effort of the Foundation and next time the Foundation will also provide books to needy students under the banner of a book fair. "The motive is to carry forward Vicky's legacy through various social activities," Ajaypal Singh Middukhera said.
A student blood donor said that it is heart-touching to see such an initiative in the memory of a dedicated and compassionate student leader like Vicky Middukhera. Another blood donor said such efforts will undoubtedly leave a positive impact on society.
