Vidya Valley School, Sus wins the prestigious title of ‘Number One School in Sports’ at the SFA Championships in Pune
The vibrant city of Pune marked an exhilarating conclusion to the 2nd edition of the SFA Championships. The prestigious title of “number one school in sports” in Pune, was awarded to Vidya Valley School, Sus, with an impressive total of 30 Gold, 13 Silver, and 15 Bronze medals, culminating in a remarkable tally of 238 points. Dedicated to celebrating athletes excelling in multi-sports, the "Golden Girl" award at the SFA Championships, was conferred upon, Avantika Ranjit Kher from Vidya Valley School, Sus, who won 2 gold medals. Malhar Sagar Deshmukh from Vidya Valley School was awarded the ‘Golden Boy’ also for winning 2 gold medals.

Adding to the jubilation, Sonal Bundele, Joint Secretary, Maharashtra Archery Association, Secretary PCMC Archery Association at the closing ceremony congratulated the athletes and shared, "SFA Championships has become a beacon for athletic achievement in Pune, providing a stellar platform for over 12,000 young athletes. The 2nd edition of SFA Championships in Pune witnessed the participation of close to 12000 across 600 schools. The Championships also identified the top school in each of the 20 sports competed for, in Pune.

The Championships witnessed more than 4300 matches across 270 sporting categories, showcasing the incredible talent and sportsmanship of the young participants. In the dynamic arena of this year's SFA Championships in Pune, girls accounted for 34% of the total athletes, while boys accounted for 66%. The leading sports for girls were Athletics and Basketball; whereas the top sports played by the boys were Football, Basketball, Chess, Swimming and Athletics.
