Vigilance Awareness Week observed in RCF Kapurthala
Kapurthala/Jalandhar, November 1, 2021: As per the instructions of Central Vigilance Commission, Vigilance Awareness Week was organized in Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala , from October 26 to November 1’ 2021. In the light of guidelines issued by CVC several programs on anti-corruption such as pledge on integrity, sensitizing through posters and banners containing anti-corruption slogans, certain activities for enhancing awareness in school children on corruption , discussions on useful mechanism against corruption, rally by the RCF Scouts & Guides with anti-corruption banners, Nukkad Naatak etc were conducted. All officers and staff were encouraged to express their determination to adopt the theme circulated by CVC on the occasion of 75 years of independent India i.e. 'Independent India @ 75:Self Reliance with Integrity'.
The week concluded with a program wherein officers of RCF participated. On this occasion, General manager of RCF, Ashesh Agrawak said that We all should work from heart to prevent corruption and assure that neither we shall indulge in any kind of corruption nor we shall allow others to take it. He added that all officers are Vigilance Officers of their workplace and should follow the guidelines on anti corruption awareness. He shared valuable anecdotes when he was at Anti Corruption Academy, Luxemburg, Austria as well holding a significant post of Vigilance Officer in Railways.
R K Verma, Chief Vigilance Officer elaborated on the initiatives taken by vigilance department to sensitize on anti corruption through a presentation in the seminar. Gurvinder Singh , Deputy CVO thanked the officers for conducting successful programs on vigilance awareness week.
