Vijayadashami festival celebrated with joy in Innocent Hearts

Jalandhar, October 11, 2024: Vijayadashami festival was celebrated with great pomp in all the five schools of Innocent Hearts (Green Model Town, Loharan, Cantt.- Jandiala Road, Noorpur Road and Kapurthala Road). Little children came dressed in the same costumes to play the characters of Shri Ram, Laxman, Mata Sita and Hanuman. Students of class 4th, 5th and 6th played the characters of Ravan, Meghnath and Kumbhakaran very well through theatrical adaptation and demonstrated the victory of good over evil through war. A special assembly  was also organized on this occasion. Children presented poems on Vijayadashami festival and also explained the importance of celebrating this festival. The Ramleela presented by the students mesmerized everyone. The enthusiasm of the children while playing all the characters was worth seeing. In every class, the teachers explained to the children that the festival of Vijayadashami gives us the message of victory of good over evil.  They inspired the children to follow the teachings from the life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram. Deputy Director Cultural Affairs Sharmila Nakra said that the purpose of celebrating the festivals in the school is to make the children aware of the culture of their country and to develop a sense of respect and reverence for every religion.
