Virtual celebration on International Tiger Day for Nursery to Prep II 

Ludhiana: D.C.M Presidency School ,Elementary Campus, Ludhiana celebrated International Tiger Day with the Students of classes  Nursery to Prep II .Class Facilitator’s  briefed their students about the significance of the day and raised awareness about the need  to protect and conserve the Tiger.  They also emphasized that the Tiger symbolizes as a safeguard of all wild life on our earth, and plays a significant role in maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.

On this occasion, numerous activities to raise awareness and knowledge about tiger conservation were organized .The facilitators showcased a movie –“Save the tiger- Jeene do humein”  based on the estranged relationship between man and tiger, and how man is to be blamed for the National animal’s declining numbers. A discussion on the importance of environmental welfare and tiger conservation was also a part of the circle time, followed by Tiger mask making activity.        

Head Elementary, Ms. Reuben Chahal also shared her views that ‘Saving Tiger is not only our duty but also our responsibility. We should know that when we ask something from nature, we must be ready to give something back as well. If nature is responsible for our existence, we must take responsibility for its existence too.’

School Coordinators Ms Ekta Singhania & MS Sonal Arora said that International Tiger Day is an annual event, celebrated on July 29, to promote the protection of the natural habitat of tigers and to spread awareness about the conservation of tigers.
