Vishvas Foundation and United Sikhs Organization set up blood donation camp
All the blood donors were encouraged by giving them Certificate of Appreciation, soap, masks and gifts
Mohali: To meet the shortage of blood in hospitals of Vishvas Foundation and United Sikhs Organization Tricity, on Friday, a blood donation camp was organized in the market near police beat phase 10 Mohali near Police Phase 10. The camp was organized in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Mohali. Special attention was taken to social distance, mask and sanitization in the camp. 55 blood donors donated blood with their willingness and enthusiasm.
Vishvas Foundation General Secretary Sadhvi Neelima Vishvas said that the team of Am Care Hospital Blood Center VIP Road Zirakpur collected blood under the supervision of Dr. Kartik Agarwal in the camp. The camp started at 11:00 am and lasted till 4:00 pm.
The camp was inaugurated by the Dr. Rupinder Singh, media head of Punjab, United Sikhs Organization. Rupinder Singh said that due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we are going to open some oxygen centers in Punjab. Where the emergency patients will be supported and we have brought some oxygen concentrators from UK and USA to meet the oxygen shortage of the patients.
Along with them, volunteers of United Sikhs Organisation Dr. Amandeep Kaur, Gagandeep Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Harjeevan Singh, Amandeep, Baljeet Singh and Manjot Singh were also present.
Special refreshments prescribed by doctors for blood donors were made in the camp. Earlier, the team of doctors did the first checkup of blood donors, the doctors said that there is no problem with donating blood. Rather, donating blood makes a person feel proud.
All the blood donors who came to this blood donation camp were encouraged by giving them Certificate of Appreciation, soap, masks and gifts. Shishupal Pathania, Asha Teji, Surbhi Gupta, Rajneesh Gupta, Krishna Lal Blood Bank doctors and other dignitaries were also present on the occasions.
