FASII’s National President Badish Jindal, visited EPFO regional office of Punjab at Ludhiana where he was welcomed by Regional Commissioner-I M.S Kalia and PPS Maingi, Regional Commissioner II.
Ludhiana, January 12, 2013: After taking the charge of Board of Trustees of Employees Provident Fund Organisation, FASII’s National President Badish Jindal, visited EPFO regional office of Punjab at Ludhiana where he was welcomed by Regional Commissioner-I M.S Kalia and PPS Maingi, Regional Commissioner II.
Kalia in the discussion informed that in Punjab there are more than 35 lakh registered employees in Punjab and in last five years the department has just added 1 lakh employees to their tally. And the reason for this is the upper limit of EPFO is Rs. 6,500 a month. It is the discretionary power of the employer to get the employees register above Rs. 6,500 a month.
Kalia further informed that even if an employee just deposit EPF for month, his family is eligible to get the benefit of pension after any misshaping.
The suggestions regarding the upcoming Board of Trustees meeting were also discussed.
The officers assured the full cooperation with the Industry, and FASII is planning to organise seminars of EPFO in order to educate the employers and employees regarding the benefits of Employees Provident Fund.
