Visit of delegation from British Council India to PU
A delegation from the British Council consisting of Dr. Michael Houlgate, Deputy Director, Megha Sharma and Deepika Baruah visited Panjab University today to discuss potential partnership and international collaborations in higher education. The delegation aimed to understand the priorities of Panjab University and explore opportunities for collaboration.
Chandigarh, April 5, 2023: A delegation from the British Council consisting of Dr. Michael Houlgate, Deputy Director, Megha Sharma and Deepika Baruah visited Panjab University today to discuss potential partnership and international collaborations in higher education. The delegation aimed to understand the priorities of Panjab University and explore opportunities for collaboration.
During the visit, the delegation met with Prof. Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor Panjab University, Prof. Rumina Sethi, Dean of University Instruction, Prof. Harsh Nayyar, Director, Research and Development Cell and other officials. Discussions centered on the various ways in which Panjab University and the British Council could work together to enhance the quality of higher education and promote academic excellence.
The British Council representatives expressed keen interest in exploring potential areas of collaboration, such as joint research projects, faculty exchanges, and student mobility programs and interactive session of PU students with BC. They also highlighted the importance of building lasting partnerships that can promote cultural exchange and broaden the horizons of students and faculty members alike.
