Visit of participants of 49th APPPA Course
The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a visit of participants of the 49th APPPA Course being conducted by the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi on 9th April 2024. The visit began with the tour of the University Gymnasium, Shooting Range and the sports grounds. This was followed by an interaction with the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig. Professor Ramanjit K. Johal welcomed the participants.
Chandigarh, April 10, 2024: The Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a visit of participants of the 49th APPPA Course being conducted by the Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi on 9th April 2024. The visit began with the tour of the University Gymnasium, Shooting Range and the sports grounds. This was followed by an interaction with the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Renu Vig. Professor Ramanjit K. Johal welcomed the participants.
Dr. Sachin Chaudhary, Course Coordinator, 49th APPPA very briefly apprised the gathering about the aims and objectives of the current APPPA programme and how it had been beneficial to the participants comprising of mid-career civil servants and armed forces personnel.
The Vice-Chancellor in her address to the visiting participants and faculty highlighted that Panjab University has excelled in every field and is proud of its association with IIPA. She shared the background of the setting of the Panjab University and its teaching departments after partition. She emphasized on strengthening the collaborative relations with IIPA while congratulating the participants for completing ‘Executive Masters in Public Administration and Public Policy’ degree from Panjab University.
Prof. Latika, Dean Alumni Relations enthused the participants to join the Panjab University Alumni Association. The event was attended by Prof. Y.P. Verma, Registrar; Prof. Anil Monga, Prof. R.K. Johal, Prof Navreet and other officials of the University.
Dr. Bharati Garg, Chairperson, Department of Public Administration, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Panjab University concluded the day’s proceedings and proposed the formal vote of thanks. A visit was arranged to the Department of Public Administration, Gandhi Bhawan, AC Joshi Library and Fine Arts Musuem.
